Store Manager Position Summary :
The Merchandiser role is responsible for managing the backroom operations by checking product into our POS, keeping products organized and helping process weekly pallets.

The Merchandiser will also be in charge of processing damaged or defective products back to the Distribution Center and reporting back to the SSC Team.
Additionally, the Merchandiser also works closely with the management team to ensure that an adequate level of product is in stock for customer purchase, that the merchandise is properly maintained, and that the merchandise is displayed appropriately with proper signage and favorable shelf placement.
This includes store setup, MAPP execution, plan-o-gram setup and maintenance as well as the stocking of various types of products.
Job Functions :
Ensure that each customer receives outstanding customer service by providing a professional retail environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer with 90 seconds of entering the store, maintaining an upbeat, can-do attitude throughout customer interactions, and retaining solid product knowledge in order to deliver quality customer service.
Held accountable for all incoming and outgoing inventory.
Check-in and tag merchandise, ensure proper placement and display of merchandise on the sales floor, and assist in completion of markdowns and price updates as needed.
Maintain store presentation according to Cycle Gear standards, including store housekeeping, merchandising, and retail standards.
Perform DIF (Destroy in Field) of non-saleable items monthly.
Preform RTV/Stock balance to the distribution center.
Reconcile special orders between vendors, distribution center and the customer; this includes contacting customer when orders arrive, delayed or out of stock.
Maintain awareness of all product knowledge information, merchandise promotions, and advertisements set forth by the Store Support Center.
Adhere to all Cycle Gears' policies, procedures and practices set forth in the company policy manuals.
Must be able to process information/merchandise through Cycle Gear's Retail PRO register system Meet or exceed all personal sales goals (if applicable).
Routinely meet and exceed customer needs by providing needed products and answering customer questions.
Any other duties as assigned by the Store Manager and/or the Assistant Store Manager.
Required Qualifications :
High School diploma or GED required.
Previous retail, customer service, or sales experience; 2
years preferred.
Familiarity reading and comprehending planograms, modules, plan-o-grams, schematics or POGs.
Must be able to read and interpret all Store Communications via Gear Net, MAP, and product/department manuals.
Ability to use a computer to, manage inventory.
Organizational skills and high level attention to detail required.
Must be a solid team player with excellent interpersonal skills; strong communications skills; must be able to multi-task and have an attention to detail.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holiday, evening and weekend shifts.
Desired Qualifications :
Previous merchandising experience preferred.
Familiarity with motorcycles, automotive, motorsports.
Mechanical knowledge, direct experience or the ability to learn/use tire mounting & balancing machines.
Physical Job Requirements :
Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds or more frequently.
Ability to stand for an extended period of time.
Move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store and to retrieve customer orders from the backroom, as needed.
Ability to occasionally climb a ladder to store or retrieve product, and/or place or remove signs Work Environment/Conditions :
Fast-paced, Indoor retail setting; must work on feet for long periods of time.
Overtime may be required during busy periods Required to work occasional on/off site promotional events, including evenings and weekends, such as Bike Night, etc.

Required to lift up to 40 to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
Must be able to climb ladders, reach out and overhead, bend, stoop, squat, twist, and grasp on a regular basis.
