Job Description:
Work for a great company that supports the Seminole County, FL.
We service city vehicles and equipment including police & fire.
The Heavy Truck Mechanic independently repairs, maintains and overhauls a variety of heavy motorized vehicles and/or equipment in the City's fleet (such as refuse trucks, dump trucks, cranes, bulldozers, rollers, graders, etc.
)Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Works under general supervision.
Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
Job assignments require working at client site where working conditions may vary.
Travel may be required.
Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
Little creativity and latitude is expected.
Works under general supervision.
Required Skills and
Experience:
- Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent, helpful to have vocational/technical training- Requires heavy truck related experience of at least 1-3 years-EVT experience highly preferred- Requires ASE Master Technician certifications, CDL license helpful- Must have some familiarity of diagnostic software to pull fault codes and trouble shoot vehicle electronic systems.
- Must have some familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within heavy truck field- Must provide own toolsBackground Checks are required.

Employment Type:
Full time.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
