HR Generalist - $35,000 - $40,000

Under the supervision of the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Generalist is responsible for managing the day-to-day responsibilities of the Human Resources Department. The Human Resources Generalist must be able to use logic and reasoning while dealing with employee relation issues and must also maintain confidentiality regarding the responsibilities of this position. The Human Resources Generalist must be able to balance what is right for the company as well as the employee. Must be able to work 11 - 7 or 12 - 8 as well as some Saturdays.
Responsibilities
Assist with employee relations issues; which includes conducting confidential investigations, and providing recommendations to the HR Director and management.
Assist with Workers Compensation claims submission, documentation, etc.
Maintain employee records according to company, state and federal guidelines.
Assist with recruiting efforts as needed.
Prepare and provide various reports (employee turnover, headcount, etc.) as required.
Complete special projects as directed by the HR Director.
Assist employees at all levels with questions, requests, etc.
All other duties assigned by Management.
Job Requirements
To be successful, you must meet some education, training and experience requirements in Human Resources; preferably in a call center environment. You must be able to demonstrate some critical knowledge, skills, and physical abilities.
Education, Training, and Experience
o Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent experience preferred.
o 1-3 years HR experience in a call center environment preferred.
o Proficiency as an HR generalist.
o Knowledge of Human Resources practices, procedures and employment law.
o Microsoft Office proficiency required. Advanced spreadsheet proficiency required.
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
o Excellent organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
o Ability to treat confidential information with sensitivity.
Working Conditions
o Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, which may include weekends as needed.
o Must be willing to travel within Central Florida. Must have a valid Florida driver license.
o May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time while demonstrating manual dexterity in order to accurately work on the phone, computer keyboard, and other equipment.
o Must possess auditory, verbal and visual capabilities in order to adequately communicate via phone and in person.
o Must be capable of working closely with all levels of management and under minimal supervision.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
