Legal Receptionist- Legal Staff

Sanford/Lake Mary, Florida law firm specializing in health law, civil litigation and medical malpractice has an immediate opening for a receptionist. We are seeking a reliable and dependable professional candidate with meticulous attention to detail who has 2-4 years of related office receptionist experience from a professional services firm along with a minimum 2 year degree who will greet visitors, answer phones and provide support to the admin department and overflow support to the legal assistants.
Excellent opportunity for person with outstanding communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of staff, professionals, vendors and clients. Requiring excellent front desk poise and image. This position is Full-Time.
Job Requirements:
A stable work history (no job hoppers)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written (spelling, grammar and punctuation)
2 year degree is highly preferred
2 years of related office experience in a professional services business (law firm experience a plus)
Excellent front desk poise and presence
Polished, professional articulate
Ability to work independently and be quick learner
Must be punctual and reliable
Must be detailed oriented
Job Responsibilities:
Greeting clients and visitors and answering visitor inquiries;
Answering and routing incoming calls on a multi-line telephone system;
Scheduling and routing clients;
Maintaining the waiting area, lobby, conference room or other public areas;
Scanning, photocopying, faxing and filing documents;
Maintains supplies by checking stock to determine inventory levels; anticipating requirements; verifying receipt of orders; stocking items.
Collecting and routing mail and hand-delivered packages;
Skills required:
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills to communicate with attorneys, partners, clients, opposing counsel, vendors, staff and others.
Ability to operate multi-line telephone systems and office equipment such as computers, printers, scanners, copiers and videoconferencing equipment.
Strong spelling and grammar skills are important in taking effective messages and drafting correspondence and reports.
Legal Compliance, PC Proficiency, Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, Professionalism, Informing Others, Supply Management, Scheduling, Multi-tasking, Organization, Equipment Maintenance, Legal Administration Skills, Client Relationships, Team Player.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
