Law clerk/Junior associate (Health Law)

Health Law practice in the Orlando market seeks diligent, detail-oriented Law clerk/ junior associate with 1-2 years experience for an immediate job opening. Associate will be supervised directly by a partner of the firm. Work is performed under general supervision and is reviewed in progress, as necessary, and upon completion. The working environment consists of a close-knit group of aggressive attorneys working together as a team on general liability and complex cases.
Ideal candidate will possess excellent written and oral communication skills, must excel in computer skills, have excellent academic credentials, research and writing skills, interpersonal communications skills, and be able to work as part of a team. Candidate is also expected to be a motivated, self-starter with a desire to excel in their chosen practice area and must have the ability to work both in a group and autonomously. Medical malpractice experience and/or understanding of medical issues is a plus.
Qualifications
JD from accredited Law School
Must be admitted to practice in Florida
1 - 2 years defense Medical Malpractice experience preferred, but not required
Very strong logic and analytical skills
Superior writing and oral communication skills
Computerized legal research, including Westlaw and/or Lexis- Nexis deposition experience
Grasp, comprehend, and analyze complex legal issues and complicated factual details
Efficiently operate a computer, utilize Microsoft Office Suite, and various other software programs
