Must be comfortable working will all breeds and sizes.
You will be responsible for shampooing, trim and shape fur, clip nails, ear cleaning, anal gland expression, etc.
Must be great with animals and people, listening to the owners' requests for how they want their pet to look, and keeping the animals calm in what can be a stressful situation.
You must also maintain a clean work area, which, when working with dog hair, means lots and lots of sweeping.
Established salon with large customer base.
Compassion:
Dogs often get stressed out in unfamiliar situations, and groomers need to understand this and treat them accordingly.
Customer-Service:
Groomers work with customers directly, and must be friendly and listen to their requests and needs.
Attention to Detail:
Groomers must pay attention to what they are doing, so that the animals stay safe and the grooming comes out looking great.
Stamina:
Groomers are on their feet for long periods of time, sometimes hunched over animals during the grooming process.
Weekend availability is a must with alternating weekend day off.
At Least one of the weekend days must be worked unless requested off.
