2 Sanford, FL Sanford, FL Full-time Full-time $23 - $28 an hour $23 - $28 an hour LOCAL APPLICANTS ONLY - THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION We are looking for a skilled Junior IT Admin who will help maintain the company's IT systems and hardware.
Candidates will be reporting to the company's IT Manager/IT Operations Department.
This is not solely a support role.
You will be expected to deploy and manage Servers and infrastructure, create group policies, manage licensing, add users, and configure all parts of a working Windows Domain.
As a quickly growing company, we need applicants who can help deploy our expanding IT department and implement new policies and infrastructure for it.
For example:
Exchange / Office 365 email migrations, domain/DNS migrations, server deployments, or the ability to manage Brocade, Cisco and Neatgear Switches.
Our company uses Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure, Fortigate Firewalls, fiber optic media converters and ISP lines, ManageEngine MDM, Endpoint Management software, and many other technologies.
You will help create and enforce IT rules and policies under the guidance of the department head.
Technical and administrative tasks will be performed to ensure the functionality and efficiency of our network, computers, tablets, scanners, printers, etc.
Training will be provided for areas where candidates are not yet proficient.
Critical thinking, problem solving, attention to detail, and most importantly the desire to learn new concepts, are fundamental to performing this position effectively.
In addition to normal computer / IT troubleshooting as described above, the successful candidate may also assist with deploying and troubleshooting field equipment.
This is to include iPad devices, laptops, hot spots, survey equipment, in-vehicle equipment, and others of the like.
Please note, anyone considered will be required to work out of our Sanford office Monday through Thursday from 8 AM to 5 PM with a 1 hour lunch, and 8 AM to 4 PM on Fridays.
Overtime may be requested from time to time.
Weekend or late evening work will only be required for scheduled, out-of-band work that cannot be done during normal hours.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Familiar with Windows Server / GPO Management.
Able to deploy Windows Servers Able to manage Azure Active Directory Capable of deploying network switches and hardware Ability to create and maintain network, firewall and endpoint policies.
Experience with Microsoft Active Directory Service and Office 365 Basic scripting, macro or programming knowledge is recommended.
At a minimum, knowledge of regular expressions or data formatting techniques will be handy.
OTHER SKILLS:

Self-motivated.
Takes direction from IT Director.
Ability to be trusted with sensitive information.
REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Relevant certifications 1-3
years of related experience.
Desire to learn and grow.
BONUS:
2-4 year degree in Computing and Information Sciences or Information Technologies field.
Managed Services Provider (MSP) work history.
Multiple IT certifications.
LOCATION INFORMATION:
The primary workplace will be our Sanford office.
AVAILABILITY & SCHEDULE:
Must be available 40 hours per week and on time.
Ability to work overtime when it is needed--evenings and weekends (planned and discussed ahead of time unless emergency).
Schedule is Monday-Friday from 8 am to 5 pm; Fridays we skip lunch and leave at 4 pm.
EMPLOYEE REVIEW:
Once hired, you will be assessed during your initial 90 days period.
Assessments should meet department standards and improve with time.
Any skills claimed on the resume must be demonstrable.
It's OK if you are not an expert in something claimed, but you must have a basic working knowledge.
INTERVIEW PROCESS:
Employee will be interviewed by IT Management in person.
IT Management may assess basic skills and give applicants a short 5-10 question test.
The test, if given, is not for anything other purpose than to assess the working knowledge of the applicant.
