We are looking for someone who is passionate about children, enjoys helping strengthen families, and desires to reach the next generation with the gospel.
We are looking for someone gifted with the ability to cast a new vision for our children's ministry in conjunction with the overall mission and vision of our church.
Principal Function The Children's Director is a position responsible to the Pastor of Administration and the church for the duties outlined in this job description and to do so in a manner that glorifies Christ and advances the mission and vision of Westview Baptist Church.
This position oversees children from birth through 5th grade.
Specific Responsibilities Implement a discipleship plan/curriculum for children and families.
Oversee, and is actively involved in, our weekly children's ministry activities (e.
g.
current programs include KidzChoir, Children's Church, Preschool, and Sunday School).
Oversee, and is actively involved in, our annual children's outreach events (e.
g.
current programs include VBS, Fall Festival) Implement an outreach strategy to reach new children and families.
Implement activities for children and families that will help them come to know Jesus, grow in their faith, and foster a sense of community within our church.
Build and foster positive relationships with parents and equip them to faithfully lead their families.
Participate in the organization and leadership of children's sports activities (e.
g.
current programs include Upward Basketball and Cheer, CHAMPS Basketball Camp).
Oversee the check-in equipment, TVs, and other technology in our children and preschool areas.
Requirements The individual must promote a lifestyle that aligns scripturally with being a faithful Christian and become an active member of Westview Baptist Church.
Our church is part of the Southern Baptist Convention.
