Summary:
The Technical Writer will analyze, collaborate and partner with stakeholders to create and revise technical documents such as standard operating procedures, manuals and reports.
As a Technical Writer you will be responsible for creating clear and concise documentation that effectively communicates complex technical information to our audience.
Your attention to detail and ability to research and organize information will be essential in producing high-quality documents.

Responsibilities:
Collaborates with subject matter experts to gather information and understand technical concepts Creates, writes, edits and proofreads technical documents including reference manuals and product manuals.
Conduct thorough research to ensure accuracy and completeness of information Organize and structure content in a logical and user-friendly manner Use tools such as Microsoft Office and other software to create visual aids Review and revise existing documentation to improve clarity and usability Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather feedback and incorporate changes Ensure documentation adheres to company style guidelines Determines the type of publication that will best serve the project requirements.
Meets with managers to learn about specific products or processes.
Researches product samples to fully understand product.
Assesses the audience needs for whom the technical and procedural documentation is intended; adjusts tone and technical terms used to meet those needs and to ensure understanding.
Plans writing processes and sets timelines and deadlines.
Works with cross-functional teams to create diagrams, charts, and other visual aids to assist readers in understanding a product or process.
Gathers feedback from managers and subject matter experts to improve technical documents.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:

Ability to edit and proofread work of colleagues.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing or related field preferred.
Three years of related experience or technical writing required.
Three years in the Construction Industry or similar industry.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Other Requirements:
This is an in-office position, 5 days per week, at the APS Sanford, Florida Office Job Type:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
