The HRIS Analyst is the functional and technical subject matter expert for the enterprise human resources information system (HRIS).
Works closely with end users and developers to configure, implement, test and support PeopleSoft HCM.
Researches, tests, and implements necessary changes and provides integration support to Campus Solutions, Financials, and Payroll.
Ensures accurate and quality services are delivered in all areas of Human Resources (e.
g.
, Recruiting, Benefits, and HR Records).
Essential Functions:
1.
Collaborates as the HR department liaison with Payroll, Finance, Student Administration and the Computing and Technology Services (CTS) technical team to resolve issues associated with the planning, implementation, and post-conversion utilization of all HRIS modules.
2.
Provides PeopleSoft functional support to the HR team; assists end-users and HR team to resolve functional system issues.
Develops and delivers HRIS training to end users.
3.
Designs and prepares statistical summaries, queries, reports, and custom ad hoc requests, e.
g.
, workforce planning, payroll, compensation, benefits, and other HR information using Peoplesoft Query.
4.
Diagnoses and troubleshoots system issues associated with daily operations, development, and implementation of HRIS modules, software, and process design.
Works closely with CTS to resolve system issues.
5.
Partners with the CTS team on technical issues and projects.
Actively participates in user groups (e.
g.
, Higher Education User Group, PeopleSoft Customer Support) to research production issues, and learn about new releases, their impact and identify steps for resolution.
6.
Coordinates and performs end-to-end testing, including developing test plans and leads user acceptance testing efforts for quarterly releases and upgrades.
Maintains accurate and detailed documentation of system changes, customizations, and on processes and procedures.
7.
Administers position management functionality of the HRIS module and works with the Business Office to maintain college staffing table for full-time positions.
8.
Analyzes current processes and recommends best practices and efficiencies to meet the ongoing development of system capabilities and demands.
Provide requirements to CTS and test all updates.
9.
Maintains the Human Resources web pages by making additions, changes and providing final approval in the Content Management System (CMS).
10.
Verifies the Personnel Data Base and Annual Personnel Reports for submission to the state.
11.
Creates and closely monitors department Change Management Forms (CMF) and serves as the department representative on the Functional Integration Team (FIT).
12.
Runs programs to produce reports and/or other output.
Monitors for completion and validates output.
Works with internal contacts and vendors to resolve any problems or report issues.
13.
Assists HR department to develop, implement, and prioritize project work plans.
14.
Performs other duties as may be required or assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1.
Bachelor's degree from a regionally or nationally accredited institution in Information Systems, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
2.
Two years of experience supporting PeopleSoft HCM or comparable HRIS modules.
3.
Two years of experience working with Human Resources data/metrics.
Qualifications:
1.
Three years of experience supporting PeopleSoft HCM or comparable HRIS modules.
2.
One year experience working with PeopleSoft table structures, functionality in a Human Resources environment.
3.
Experience working with applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and rules pertaining to human resources management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Working knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
2.
Knowledge and familiarity with the HRIS design, functionalities, business processes, and subsequent HRIS configurations.
