Essential Functions Note:

Plans, coordinates and directs the work activities of assigned personnel in the areas of park, maintenance, and recreational programming.
Initiates and/or reviews for final approval by the Department Director all hiring, performance evaluations, terminations, disciplinary and/or commendatory actions for personnel assigned to the Division.
Provides training and safety programs for assigned personnel.
Prepares Division budget for approval, and monitors and approves division's expenditures.
Coordinates the purchasing and timely delivery of a wide range of products and services which include supplies, services and equipment for daily and long term park operations.
Researches, prepares, and reviews proposals, and recommends improvements in division services to match growth of community needs.
Performs public relations and other informational type duties for the public, voluntary community agencies and the Parks, Recreation Advisory Board, and county organized citizen groups on parks and recreation services.
Serves as liaison officers with local, State and Federal agencies for grant purposes.
Coordinates the preparation of applications for local, State and Federal Grants.
Coordinates sporting events with area cities and the Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Serves as essential personnel during natural or man-made disasters.
Maintains effective working relationships with department management team and subordinate personnel.
Additional Duties:
Performs other related work as required.
In the event of an emergency, all employees are considered essential personnel and may be required to perform alternate duties.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Recreation, Leisure Services or closely related field and five (5) years progressively responsible experience in parks and recreation administration and supervision required.
End user computer experience required Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Class Driver's License.
National Recreation and Park Association's Certified Parks and Recreation Professional preferred.
Additional Requirements Extensive knowledge of the principals and practices of public administration and recreation management.
Considerable knowledge of local, State and Federal grant programs.
Knowledge of the function, design and maintenance of grounds, parks, facilities and recreation areas.
Knowledge of the various activities that comprise a community recreation program.
Ability to coordinate programs and work with County officials, advisory committees and citizens.
Ability to make decisions and implement policy.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Ability to organize and schedule work programs to meet Division and Department goals.
Demonstrates ability to use computer systems as an end user as a daily tool for communications, tracking and record keeping.
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with management and subordinate staff.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
