We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk.
As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will manage incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the warehouse operations.
Duties:
- Receive incoming shipments and verify the contents against purchase orders or invoices - Inspect received goods for damages or defects - Unload and load shipments using forklifts - Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels - Coordinate with carriers to schedule pick-ups and deliveries - Maintain accurate inventory records using a warehouse management system (WMS) or MRP system - Perform cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies - Organize and maintain the warehouse area, ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are met - Assist in picking, packing, and staging orders for shipment - Collaborate with other departments to resolve any shipping or receiving issues
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent - Previous experience in a shipping and receiving role preferred - Proficient in basic math skills for inventory management - Knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures - Ability to operate forklifts is a plus - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping - Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously - Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and external partners Please note that all positions at our company are paid positions.
